India's Geography

There is a lot of diversity to India's geography. The
Indian subcontinent consists of mountain ranges,
fertile coastal plains, river valleys, and a dry interior
plateau. The Himalaya is the tallest mountain in the
world, and is located in northern India. There are
two major river valleys: The valleys of the Ganges
and the Indus. Extending from the Ganges Valley
to the southern tip of India is the plateau, Deccan.
