	Hockey, a team game played on ice skates, with curved sticks and a rubber disks called a puck. There is not that much to talk about the history of hockey in Canada, so it took me a long time to do this. It really started originating in Asia and Persia around 2000 BC, but it did not really come out until the middle 19th century in Canada. The earliest mention of the game dates back to 1527, when the Galway Statutes including “hokie”, the hurling of little balls with sticks. Hokie means it hurts.
