Paragraph 1: This paragraph demonstrates romanticism. Babies are innocent beings that cannot comprehend the things around them. In this paragraph; the baby is able to feel the moral agony of Hester Prynne through nourishment. This seems to be a hint of the baby being something that the reader does not expect. The baby is larger than life, and seems to have the ability to survive the consequences from the sin of the mother
