Cassette's Vs. CD's

In this day and age, we have tons of advanced technology. I want to look at the
advantages ( or disadvantages) of using CD's over cassettes.
Have you ever noticed that if you leave a cassette in a hot car for any period
of time, that you end up having a mangled mess of useless plastic? CD's, on the
other hand, do no get flaming hot and can still be used.
