In this essay I will be discussing the differences between skill, ability and technique, and also I will be discussing what practices I think would enhance these components of fitness.


Skill is an organised co-ordinated activity in relation to an object or situation which involves a whole chain of sensory, central and motor mechanisms. To be skilful you need; constituency, accuracy, control, intention and fluidity. The 4 types of skill are cognitive, perceptual, motor and perceptual motor.
